The Training Conference was participated by representatives of over 160 participants from the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Departments belong to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Literature and Arts Associations, the Publishers, the Enforcement Agencies on copyright and related rights.
The Training Conference covered the following topics:
Overview of the Vietnam and international legal system on copyright and related rights; Regulations of Vietnam on copyright; Regulations of Vietnam on related rights; Registration of copyright and related rights; Enforcement provisions on protection of copyright, related rights; Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works; Rome Convention for the Protection of Performers, Producers of Phonograms and Broadcasting Organizations; TRIPs Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights; Geneva Convention for the Protection of Producers of Phonograms against unauthorized duplication of their phonograms; Brussels Convention relating to the Distribution of Programme-Carrying Signals Transmitted by Satellite; WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT), WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT).
During the four-day Training Conference, the participants made in-depth discussion with speakers how to implement effectively protection of copyright and related rights in Vietnam.
