In the framework of Swiss-Vietnam Intellectual Property Project (SVIP), The Copyright Office of Vietnam (COV) will cooperate with Management Board of SVIP and Interim Board of setting up the Vietnam Copyright Association (VCA) to organize the seminar on “The Rights of Performers” on 27 January, 2010 in Hanoi and 29 January, 2010 in Ho Chi Minh city.
The Seminar will share the experience and exchange the information on protection of performers’ rights; analyze the collection and distribution remuneration of performers for using their performances, especially in case of secondary uses of phonograms; study international conventions and Vietnam’s legislation, as well as some other countries’ law on related issues.
Participants will be invited to the Seminar come from copyright and related rights management and enforcement agencies, performers and rights holders, users and the public, universities and institutes, broadcasting organizations and news agencies.
