 For a number of years, the influence of new technology and methods of communicating works over world digital networks such as the Internet has made itself felt in the field of copyright and related rights protection, especially the collective management of copyright and related rights - the new and complicated field in Vietnam. The role of collective management of rights has now been strengthened and the need for it firmly established.
In order to introduce the basic knowledge on collective management of copyright and related rights, the book “Collective management of copyright and related rights” by Dr. Mihály Ficsor was translated and published into Vietnamese by the Copyright Office of Vietnam (COV). The Vietnamese translation was published with the kind authorization of the author - Dr. Mihály Ficsor and the WIPO and with the support of the European Commission ASEAN Intellectual Property Rights Cooperation Programme (ECAP II Project) to distribute free of charge to copyright and related rights management and enforcement organizations.
